Picadillo was a contemporary Cuban-roots project led by Héctor Agüero Lauten from 2011 to 2019. As songwriter, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist, he shaped a musical language connecting Cuban traditions with early New Orleans jazz, ragtime and contemporary influences. This artist history demonstrates a distinctive musical voice and broad production experience while remaining secondary to his audiovisual work.
Las cosas de la vida — Picadillo’s debut album, featuring original music, arrangements and production by Héctor Agüero Lauten. The record connects Cuban forms with early New Orleans jazz, ragtime and a playful contemporary sensibility.
Manicomio — Picadillo’s second album, developed during a publishing agreement with Warner Chappell Music Spain. As songwriter, arranger and producer, Héctor expanded the project’s Cuban roots into a broader, contemporary and eclectic musical language.
